We believe that protection for people and the environment is a perfect complement to providing protection through insurance while on holiday. That‘s because we need to preserve the basic fundamentals necessary for life so that everybody can benefit over the long term. We are committed to our community responsibility and ERV shows its commitment to environmental management through Salve Floresta. We started to support the environment way back in 1991 until 2009 donating our "environmental pennies" to ecological projects.
 

What is Salve Floresta's mission?

The non-profit organization Salve Floresta e. V. focuses on providing support for social and ecological projects in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo. The aim is to work with local people and protect the rain forest from exploitation over the long term.

What projects are supported?

ERV first commits to the base. This is backed up by a nature education centre providing an environmental education programme for school children. The programme enables children to become familiar with the flora and fauna through exploring the environment and by carrying out practical projects. Salve Floresta provides overnight facilities and working materials. Salve Floresta aims to promote environmental awareness at an early age by providing an introduction to the ecology of the rain forest. That‘s because children will only protect the rain forest later if they learn to appreciate their environment at an early age.
