The Incoming insurance for foreign students and au pairs consists of two independently selectable blocks.

Incoming Medical Insurance for Students and Au Pairs meets all the requirements relating to a Schengen Visa in accordance with Article 15 Visa Code. The sum insured is unlimited, providing the legally required minimum cover of EUR 30,000.

There are some risks, however, which are not covered by the Incoming Medical Insurance. Not insured, for instance, are treatments which you already know before the start of your journey to be necessary during your stay for medical reasons (e.g. dialyses). Cover is provided for accidents in the country of stay that lead to permanent disablement or death. We pay the costs for plastic surgery due to an accident up to € 3,000.

There are some risks, however, which are not covered by the Accident Insurance. Not included are accidents which you suffer during the practice of extreme sports such as rafting, free climbing, hang gliding or parachuting. For further information please read our insurance terms and conditions.
Cover is provided for liability risks (personal and property damage) during the insured stay in the host country.
Cover does extend to personal liability for damage to rented accommodation, furniture and fittings in the household of the host family are included in the rental up to a total of € 1,000.
We will pay for you the verified costs of deportation up to € 2,000.
Limit of indemnity: € 1 million flat rate
There are some risks, however, which are not covered by the Personal Liability Insurance. Not insured, for instance, is any damage resulting from deliberate acts. If you have to interrupt the insured stay on account of an insured event, we will pay for the costs of the outward journey to your home country and the return journey to the country of stay. Insured events are death, serious injury resulting from an accident and unexpected serious illness happened to your parents, grandparents, siblings or children.
Sum insured: € 2,000 per person
Please note, however, that the Interruption Insurance may not always pay. Paid but unused benefits such as prorated cost of accommodation in the country of residence will not be reimbursed. For further information please read our insurance terms and conditions.
Incoming Medical Insurance for Students and Au Pairs: The excess for medical treatment costs in the host country shall be € 100 for each insured event.
Block one: The policy can be taken out at any time before the start of the insured stay.
Important notice: It ist not possible to extend the contract. Therefore we recomend to insure the whole period of stay.
Block two: The insurance must be taken out before the trip begins and at the latest on the day you enter Germany or the first host country.
